HIGHLIGHT AND OBJECTIVES OF ECOLOGICAL FRIENDLY SOCIETY (ECOFRIENDS)

Ecological Friendly society (Eco-friends)- A registered  environmental Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the prime motive of addressing critical issues relating to the environment through creating awareness, ecological restoration and provision of sustainable means of livelihood.

The following are the objectives of the society:

i.                    Enlightenment campaign on environmental friendliness;

ii.                  Environmental study and assessment;

iii.                Prevention and control of environmental degradation;

iv.               Encouraging wise utilization of flora, fauna and other monuments;

v.                 Domestication of wild flora and fauna as an alternative means of livelihood;

vi.               Advocacy and co-operation with relevant organizations/institutions with a view to achieving set objectives.
